As many of you know I have become very politically active. As I got further in my studies at graduate school, I began to realize that the work I do in Public Health and Social Work is directly affected by policy decision at the state and local level. My passion for politics stems from my belief that government has a duty to assist vulnerable populations and those less fortunate myself.
Sara and Summer are two women running to be state representatives in the 21st and 34th districts. Their policies but also their compassion and willingness to listen are qualities needed in Harrisburg.

It would be an honor for you to attend my house party, co-hosted by Dr. Albert, Tracy Soska, and Dr. Ray Engel.
Impactful change happens at the state and local level when active, engaged citizens, like yourselves, are empowered. If you are not able to attend but are interested in volunteering or donating, please see the donate tab.

In addition to supporting these women, your attendance will also help me with my graduate essay. My graduate essay is looking at the knowledge of health inequalities and political engagement and efficiency with a diverse range of academic disciplines and ages. After the candidates speak, you will be asked to take a voluntary short survey.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to learn more about this event or ways to get involved.
I hope to see you February 18th at 7:00.
